How to pair wine with pizza
A common rule of thumb for pizza and wine:
- Pizzas with tomato sauce, like a Margherita or Marinara, have natural acidity. Wines with fresh acidity, white or red, match them.
- Pizzas without tomato sauce and with cream or soft cheese, like the Mortadella or Kaas Lover, can be paired with a crisp white or a sparkling wine.
- Spicy pizzas, like the Habemus Piccante, are often paired with a soft, fruity red. High-alcohol, very tannic wines can make spice feel hotter.
- Meaty pizzas, like the Capricciosa, can take a fuller red.
When in doubt, ask the team which wine they recommend with your pizza.

Our pizza
Mangia pizza dough uses a blend of flours developed for us by Molini Pizzuti, with dry sourdough. After an initial 24 hours of fermentation, the dough rests for another 36 to 48 hours. Our tomatoes are San Marzano DOP from Nolano, and our fior di latte comes from Sorì, both from Campania.
